The Foster Grandparent Program provides intergenerational opportunities for adults age 55 and above to mentor “high-needs” children in schools, Head Start and Early Head Start Centers, and child development centers in Linn, Johnson, and Jones counties. The heart of the program is the one-on-one daily attention the Foster Grandparents provide. In improving the lives of the children they serve, Foster Grandparents also profoundly enrich their own lives.
